Public Market reopens May 18 for dine-in seating
Posted on 05/15/2020

(Updated June 5, 2020)

We are excited to announce that the Lenexa Public Market will reopen for dine-in seating beginning Monday, May 18. At that time, customers will be welcome to stay and eat inside the Market and outside on the Commons. To provide a safe experience for patrons, merchants, and market staff, as well as to comply with current State and local regulations and guidelines, we have made a few changes:

  • Tables are spaced at least six feet apart to meet social distancing guidelines, and seating is limited to groups of 10 customers or less.
  •  We’ve placed signs on the floor to indicate proper social distancing.
  • High-touch surfaces and items will be sanitized regularly, including but not limited to – door handles, push bars, tabletops and trash cans.
  • Market staff will wear masks, wash hands often and wear gloves while busing tables.
  • Hand sanitizer stations are available for community use.
  • Staff and vendors will stay home if they are sick.

Here is what we’re asking of our customers:

  •  Be patient, flexible and kind as everyone gets used to these changes.
  • Consider using carryout, curbside delivery and third-party delivery options, when available.
  • Please stay home if you are feeling ill or are showing signs or symptoms of the virus.
  • Be mindful to stay at least six feet away from other patrons and staff while in the Market.
Before moving tables, please ask a Market staff member.
  • Use the hand sanitizer stations available.
Consider wearing a mask or face covering when interacting with Market merchants and staff.
  • Do not come to the Market with groups larger than 10 people.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone and appreciate your patience as we all adjust to these changes. The safety and well-being of our community is extremely important to us, and we are continually monitoring the situation along with guidance and direction from our local, regional and state agencies. Further changes will be communicated via our website and social media.
