Looking to make the most of your visit to the Public Market? From a free indoor performance to a local farmers market and a new run club, there’s plenty happening on the Lenexa civic campus this month. Check out these exciting events and activities nearby:
March 8, 6:30 p.m., Lenexa City Hall
Catch a free, heartwarming performance by mother and daughter duo Kristin & Lucy Gray Hamilton. Their folk songs, rich with harmonies and exploring themes of love and loss, will be the perfect complement to your visit.
March 11, 5 to 7 p.m., Lenexa City Hall
If you're a Lenexa resident, swing by the City’s Community Open House for 3/8-Cent Sales Tax Renewal on March 11 at Lenexa City Hall between 5-7 p.m. to learn about the initiative. You can explore presentation boards and chat with City staff.
Fun fact: The Lenexa civic campus, including the Public Market, was partially funded by the current 3/8-cent sales tax.
March 29, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Lenexa City Hall
Support local farmers and artisans while you stock up on fresh veggies, meats, baked goods, honey, and much more at the indoor Winter Farmers Market. It’s the perfect way to enjoy local flavor and keep your pantry stocked for the season.
Mondays, 6 p.m., Lenexa Rec Center (starting March 3)
Looking for a fun way to stay active and connect with fellow runners? Lace up and hit the pavement with the Lenexa Run Club on Monday evenings and then enjoy dinner at the Market! Whether you're an experienced runner or just starting out, this club offers motivation, camaraderie, and a chance to explore new routes around Lenexa. Learn more and sign up.
Thursdays, 9:30 to 10 a.m., Lenexa City Center Library
Enjoy Storytime with your toddler through short stories, songs, fingerplay and movement activities. Lenexa City Center Library staff lead this program every Thursday morning. Drop in the Public Market before or afterward for a kid-friendly morning snack (like a donut from Mr. D’s Coffee or waffle pop from Cardboard Corner Cafe).
