Lunar New Year

Bring in the Lunar New Year at the Lenexa Public Market! Celebrate the Year of the Wood Snake with authentic performances, be entertained, play snake-themed board games and try specialty dishes from Lenexa Public Market merchants. We are partnering with the Ethnic Enrichment Commission of Kansas City for this event.

Event schedule: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Attendees can stop by the Concierge booth to pick up a complimentary lucky red envelope and discover your special fortune for 2025. One envelope per person, available while supplies last.

10 a.m. to 1 p.m. — Art activities for kids. Chinese character paper cutting and origami (upstairs in The Kitchen)
10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. — Dance performances and workshop at various times (see schedule below)
All day — Merchant food specials (see menu below)

Parking

Free parking available onsite in the Lenexa Civic campus parking garage (17201 W. 87th St. Pkwy). Enter on Winchester Street or West 88th Street. Additionally, there is public parking in the Winchester Parking garage, west side of the Shawnee Mission Aquatic Center — enter on Winchester Street.
