This new East Asian eatery’s menu features Japanese-style tapas, including gyoza (pan-fried dumplings) with seasonal fillings, grilled skewer appetizers (kushiyaki), and specialty dough-based dishes made from scratch using natural ingredients.

During the grand opening on Sunday, diners will have a chance to win one free entrée per week for one year!

Chef-owner Katie Liu-Sung hails from Taiwan and was largely raised in Los Angeles before moving to Kansas City in 2010. Chewology is her first restaurant project, which she has been planning for years. Liu-Sung has experience in restaurant management, catering and commercial banking. She envisions Chewology as an innovative test space for Asian fusion food and intends to expand to a second, larger restaurant with a more extensive menu in the future.

Chewology's regular hours begin Oct. 23:
Monday–Thursday: 11 a.m.–9 p.m.
Friday–Saturday: 11 a.m.–10 pm.
Sunday: 11 a.m.–6 p.m.
